Wisconsin's independent voice for tech, since 2001.
The Wisconsin Technology Council is an independent, non-profit science and technology advisor to Wisconsin's Governor and Legislature. Created in 2001 by a bipartisan act, we are governed by a non-partisan board drawn from tech companies, venture capital firms, higher education, research institutions and more.
For more than 25 years, we have worked to strengthen Wisconsin's innovation economy by connecting entrepreneurs, investors, businesses, researchers and policymakers. Through our programs, events and policy leadership, we help foster innovation, collaboration and long-term economic growth across the state.
Advancing Wisconsin innovation
For more than 25 years, we have worked to strengthen Wisconsin's innovation economy by bringing together leaders from business, research, government and entrepreneurship. Through policy leadership, statewide connections and programs that support growth, we help create the conditions for innovation to thrive.
1
Policy guidance
We help shape Wisconsin's technology and innovation policy by advising state leaders and engaging with policymakers on issues that impact entrepreneurs, researchers, investors and technology-driven businesses. Through research, policy recommendations and ongoing dialogue, we work to foster a business environment that supports innovation, growth and economic opportunity across the state.
2
Statewide convening
We bring together entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, researchers, educators and policymakers from across Wisconsin. Through our memberships, events and partnerships with organizations statewide, we help build the connections and relationships that strengthen Wisconsin's innovation ecosystem and support long-term growth.
3
Economic catalyst
We turn ideas into action through programs that support entrepreneurs, connect companies with capital and advance emerging technologies. By helping innovative businesses grow and succeed, we contribute to a stronger economy for Wisconsin.

Investors

Board of directors
We are governed by a board of directors made up of leaders from across Wisconsin's innovation economy. Their experience and insight help guide our strategic direction, strengthen our programs and ensure we remain focused on the needs of the state's technology and business community.
