MKE Stateup New: Accreditation Ready turns health care compliance into a game
For health care facilities, preparing for a regulatory survey can mean making sure employees understand a long list of requirements while administrators gather the records needed to demonstrate compliance.
Brookfield-based Accreditation Ready wants to make both tasks easier.
Founded in February by brothers Akshay and Anand Saluja, the startup is developing a digital platform designed to help health care employees learn compliance requirements while giving administrators a centralized system for maintaining the records surveyors may request.
The company is one of 52 semifinalists selected for this year’s Launch Wisconsin competition.
Health care facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid must demonstrate ongoing compliance with federal health and safety requirements established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Facilities can be surveyed by state agencies acting on CMS’ behalf or seek accreditation through a CMS-approved accrediting organization.
