MKE Startup News: Swiss startup Cerret eyes Wisconsin as it plans U.S. expansion

Five startups from across the globe are spending the summer in Milwaukee through the WEDC-funded gener8tor Accelerate Wisconsin program, designed to attract high-growth international companies that already have market validation and help them build a U.S. presence in the state.

For Geneva, Switzerland-based CERRET, that opportunity comes at a pivotal moment.

Although the luxury personal safety jewelry brand is headquartered in Europe, approximately 80% of its revenue now comes from customers in the United States. As the company raises a seed round and evaluates where to establish its first American office, founder and CEO Alexandre Cerret is exploring whether Milwaukee could become the company’s U.S. home.
