Channel3000: UW-Platteville ranks among top Midwest public universities

UW-Platteville ranked among the top 15 public universities in the Midwest in U.S. News & World Report rankings released Tuesday.

The media company evaluated nearly 1,500 colleges and universities using metrics including graduation rates, first-year retention rates, earnings by major, faculty salaries and student-faculty ratios.

UW-Platteville tied with Minnesota State University, Mankato, for 12th among public universities in the Midwest, according to the university.

The university also tied Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, for 55th among regional universities in the Midwest, school officials said.
