Explore the “innovation process” and learn how to use it to enhance your business from Paul Lemens, director for the newly formed Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the UW-Green Bay, at the Thursday, Sept. 17 meeting of the Wisconsin Innovation Network Northeast Chapter. 

The event will be held at the D J Bordini Center, 5 Systems Drive, near the Fox Valley Technical College campus in Appleton.  Registration and networking begin at 4:45 p.m. The cost is $5 for WIN members, $10 for non-members and included with WIN corporate memberships.

Lemens will define innovation and explain its significance to a successful business and a healthy economy.  He will discuss the different types of innovation and how they can be applied to your business.  Lemens will also illustrate the innovation process from start to finish and explain the importance of understanding user needs, as well as the shift in mindset from product features to user experiences. 
 
Prior to joining the Institute for Entrepreneurship Innovation at UW-Green Bay, Lemens held a variety of positions in the corporate world – most recently as a vice president in the Innovation Group for Esselte Corporation.  He also owns his own consulting firm where he assists companies with innovation activities and corporate strategy.
